In the GP4-RX version, the sliding of the pads on the body is via special guides, machined from the caliper body itself, which allowed the elimination of the pad pins. The GP4-RX first adopts the surface finish borrowed from Moto GP. Nickel plating, in addition to giving an extremely attractive look, allowed the already tight machining tolerances to be refined to the benefit of performance and operating precision.

The hydraulics underwent careful refinement, using four 32-mm-diameter pistons to further increase the now well-known power and modulability characteristics typical of Brembo calipers.
